How to Draw Pichu

February 19, 2011 in How to Draw A Pokemon, How to Draw All Pokemon, How to Draw Electric Pokemon

I’m beginning to edit all my old drawing tutorials on this website, and thought that this one should be the first to update because someone requested a drawing tutorial on this website. That drawing tutorial was “how to draw Pichu.” I thought it was a great idea and decided to upload it. When I uploaded the drawing tutorial, it was kind of a rush/hack. So I’m editing it, and here I am sharing my tips and an actual drawing tutorial from the web. It could be any drawing tutorial, and as always the rules are: One YouTube drawing video and one drawing tutorial from any website. You’ll probably see most of the drawing tutorials from a website called Dragoart – a pop culture drawing website. All drawing tutorials that are new at that site is really worth the time seeing.

So enough with the pep talk and more with the tips so I can move on with the tutorials that I want to share – their high quality drawing tutorials and you’re probably going to look at the drawing tutorial first and not the description/content of the lesson. Well, when drawing Pichu always remember that you’re drawing something similar to Pikachu, even though Pikachu is the evolved form after Pichu. Pichu isn’t a hard Pokemon to draw. In fact, it’s probably one of the easiest Pokemon to draw. Also, that’s basically what I can share for tips because there really isn’t anything on Pichu to help you with. The drawing video is good and so is the drawing tutorial. I think you’ll find them both interesting no matter what. Enjoy and thank you for visiting our website once again. Please if you must, leave a comment and tell me what you think. Share your thoughts, and don’t be afraid to share this website with one of your Pokemon fan friends. Our site isn’t just about drawing, it’s also about Pokemon.

* UPDATE * Sorry about the video. I haven’t had any time to edit this website. As an apology, I will share this drawing tutorial that I’ve found online (Not a drawing video.) Enjoy!

I really hoped you enjoyed this lesson. There’s more lessons to come in the future. Keep in mind that I’m always busy. Don’t expect 5 – 10 tutorials a day from me :) You could help the website grow more if you like just by joining the PokeTeam Community. All you do is upload drawing tutorials by finding a tutorial online (Videos or pictures) and add some text on what you think about that tutorial, or possibly give some tips.

How to Draw Pikachu, Step by Step

PikachuHello guys! This is a remake page for learning how to draw Pikachu at our website. The old drawing tutorials had lack of teaching abilities, just video blah, so I want to take the next step. Let’s learn how to draw Pikachu for real. There was a commenter who loved the video, and I was thinking that I should change the drawing tutorial because videos are lazy techniques to make others learn. I want to now share drawing tutorials that artist have done on the internet. Now thinking about it, I just want to say that most of the drawing tutorials that I’m finding are from a pop culture website called Dragoart. Yeah… just letting you know, that’s all. I also want to remind you that I’ll share 3 tips per drawing tutorial before you view any shared tutorial that I’ve found for you guys. Enjoy!

As for the first tip for drawing Pikachu, let me make it clear that drawing Pikachu is like drawing a baby Pokemon. That means it isn’t hard at all to draw Pikachu. The proportions for Pikachu is the only hard part about him. The second tip would be to remember how the arms look. The arms may look easy, but drawing the arms too long on accident could leave to a recipe of disaster. It may sound crazy but it’s true. If you mess up with the arms, the proportions would look incorrect. Last but not least tip is to remember the shape of the body. Pikachu’s shape is really important when it comes to drawing. It’s like the proportion base.

So you’ve finally read the article and now it’s time for the final step – view the two shared tutorials. Keep reading more of my drawing tutorials and hopefully you’ll share them. Helping out our website is really important for us. We want our website to grow in population wise. Thank you and be sure to leave a comment.

There are better tutorials out there than videos, so I decided to give an example. Below is a drawing tutorial from a website called Dragoart. I really find it helpful and really shows you what you need to know. I hope you understand, but I’m trying to get past the videos and move on with the drawing tutorials from other sites. You know, NOT video drawing tutorials. Enjoy the tutorial and enjoy the rest of them. ~ Admin
